Strength

My favorite card in this deck has always been Strength.  I love the way the woman seems to be riding on the back of the lion and I love that the artist has managed to covey movement in this card.  I love the idea that strength is not static, but moves off, perhaps in search of adventure.

My Tarot Deck

Although I usually use the Art Nouveau Tarot, for this class I will be using the Sacred Rose Tarot.  This is the deck that I first bought for myself over 25 years ago.  I was drawn to it because of the bright colors, light-hearted illustrations, and the sacred rose symbols on the back.  On the other hand, I find the vacant eyes on the figures in this deck to be a little creepy - like there is no one home.
